HOW DOES LASER AFFECT THE VAGINA?
Vaginal laser treatments provide tightening of the vagina and rejuvenation of the vagina by renewing the tissues. This is achieved by the thermal (heating) and ablative (destructive) effects of laser light. Due to this effect, an ‘inflammatory’ process starts in the tissue.
The regeneration period begins with reparative cells called ‘fibroblasts’ migrating to the damaged tissue. During this period fibroblasts increase the production of ‘collagen’ and ‘elastic’ connective tissue. With the newly produced connective tissue, the tissue is rejuvenated, renewed and tightened.
